More changes coming for Nevada’s prep sports scene
A year after massive realignment changes went into effect statewide for high school sports programs, it seems more changes are coming. That revelation comes after the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA) approved a plan last month, that puts Clark County’s prep athletic programs into a new 4A Division I or Division II format.
Changing your name doesn’t change your status
Almost two weeks ago, the NIAA’s Board of Control approved a plan that splits Clark County’s high schools into a Division I and Division II format. Division I will have the largest and most successful programs while Division II will feature schools trying to rebuild their athletic programs and smaller schools.
