Lady Raiders, Cougars come away with wins
Through its first eight games of the season, the Reed softball team has done a fairly good job of limiting opponents’ offense, allowing just fewer than two runs per game to cross home plate. While Reed coach Jon Wunder is pleased with the Raiders’ defensive effort, it has left him wanting more production from the RHS bats. He got that on Thursday.
Wooster easily sweeps Sparks softball
After starting the season 2-2, the Sparks high softball team has fallen into a mini-slump of late, dropping three straight games. Unfortunately for the Railroaders, Wooster increased the SHS losing streak to five on Wednesday afternoon.
Reno bests Spanish Springs in first HDL golf tourney, Reed t...
The Golf Gods must not get along too well with Mother Nature. Cougars shut out Damonte Ranch

Spanish Springs spanks Galena

Spanish Springs baseball dumped by Damonte Ranch
The Spanish Springs offense was nearly non-existent and the its defense was abysmal. That doesn't often make for a winning combination and it certainly didn't for the Cougars Saturday. They were saddled with a 6-1 home loss by Damonte Ranch in Division I North league prep baseball action.
McQueen nips Reed 8-7
The Reed baseball team built itself an early 3-1 lead at McQueen Saturday afternoon before the Lancers tallied seven runs over three innings to grab a comfortable 8-1 advantage. With their final three outs, the Raiders tried to leave the host fidgeting as much as possible, but in the end there wasn’t enough outs left in the game to allow RHS to finish the comeback as McQueen held on for the 8-7 victory.
Sparks softball falls twice
The Sparks High softball team came out on the short end of a pair of Division 1A North crossover games at Dayton Saturday. Sparks was drilled 12-0 in five innings by Fallon and then ripped 10-1 by Dayton.
