The day didn't start off very well for the Reed Raiders but it ended on a high note. The RHS squad found itself facing a two-goal deficit after a lackadaisical first half but scored two goals in the last 30 minutes, including one just seconds before the final buzzer.

The Reed Raiders had no trouble finding the win column Saturday afternoon. Reed scored three goals in the first six minutes of its High Desert League match against Hug and cruised to an 8-0 home win in girls prep soccer action.
Raiders ambush Panthers
RENO — It look less than four minutes for the Reed Raiders to turn a close game into a runaway at North Valleys on Friday night. After the first half ended with Reed holding a tentative two-touchdown lead, consecutive turnovers helped the Raiders score two touchdowns en route to an eventual 49-7 victory over the Panthers in north Reno.

RENO — Spanish Springs football players do not take special teams for granted and it shows when they don their purple and white uniforms nearly every weekend. Special teams were probably the difference in the Cougars' 24-14 Northern 4A league win at Reno Friday night.
