More changes coming for Nevada’s prep sports scene
A year after massive realignment changes went into effect statewide for high school sports programs, it seems more changes are coming. That revelation comes after the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA) approved a plan last month, that puts Clark County’s prep athletic programs into a new 4A Division I or Division II format.
Changing your name doesn’t change your status
Almost two weeks ago, the NIAA’s Board of Control approved a plan that splits Clark County’s high schools into a Division I and Division II format. Aces get by 51s, 8-7
In the battle of southpaws, Reno starting pitcher Zach Kroenke was hoping to erase the bitter taste of Wednesday’s blowout loss to inter-state rival Las Vegas. It didn’t play out that way, but the Aces would take it as the 51’s bullpen imploded late. That let the home team rally for an 8-7 win.
