RENO – It was a busy day for the Nevada women's basketball team Saturday as it hosted Women In Sports Day and High School Day. The Pack also found time to honor their women’s basketball alumni and throw a clinic for area youths in eighth grade and below before suiting up to host Western Athletic Conference foe San Jose State.

In maybe the best Spanish Springs girls basketball performance of the season, senior Ari James carried her team to a 54-44 High Desert League victory over Hug Friday night. James poured in a career-high 28 points, the second-highest total by a Cougar in school history behind Jordan Rogers’ 31 points two years ago.
