Spanish Springs baseball knocks off Carson
A pair of first-inning fielding miscues kept the Carson Senators from staying in contention Friday night. Two first-inning CHS errors helped Spanish Springs push across four unearned runs en route to a 5-0 SSHS non-league road win Friday in prep baseball action.
Mother Nature picked a bad time to be a nuisance. Snowfall throughout Wednesday night into Thursday morning turned into drizzle as Thursday wore on. It caused the cancellation of a handful of prep games. Now, one team in particular is feeling the pain.

Cougars crush California foe, win local softball tournament
For the second straight day, the James Logan High softball team was no match for Spanish Springs. A day after dumping the central California school 12-0 in pool play, Spanish Springs handed Logan an 8-0, six-inning defeat in the championship game of Reed High’s annual spring break tournament.
Raiders finish third in own tourney
The Reed High softball team won two of three games on championship day of its yearly spring break tournament and earned the third-place trophy. The Raiders took down Reno 4-1 in the third-place game Saturday afternoon.
