Truckee Meadows sports fans surprised me a bit last summer in their support during the Reno Aces' inaugural season. If memory serves, the Aces need to average 4,000-plus fans a night to stay viable. The team eclipsed that and much more during its first season.

he Reno Over the Hill Gang Chapter staged a very rare Saturday race at the Lion's Fernley Motocross Track. Despite being Easter eve, the turn out of riders was pretty good.
Reed impresses at Rotary
The Reed Raiders proved worthy hosts at their annual Rotary Invitational Saturday. Reed finished fourth in the girls team standings with 49 points and fifth in the boys standings with 50 points.

The hard work surrounding Nevada's prep realignment issue is done. The committee put in the work to find a plan that could work and save money. State superintendents and NIAA leaders approved it. Athletic administrators across the state then responded and enacted new sport-by-sport schedules.
