IRS urges tax preparers to renew tax ID No.
The Internal Revenue Service has contacted 10,000 Nevada tax return preparers to remind them they must renew their Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). Use of the PTIN will be required on all federal returns prepared by paid tax return preparers starting Jan. 1, 2011.

Nevada gets $1.7M to fight mortgage fraud
LAS VEGAS — Nevada has received $1,700,500 from the U.S. Office of Justice Program to enable the Mortgage Fraud Unit of the Nevada Office of the Attorney General to expand services to deal with mortgage fraud and vacant property crimes.
