A Nevada judge says she intends to penalize Las Vegas Sands Corp. lawyers, and maybe the casino company itself, for failing to disclose documents to opposing attorneys representing a fired former Macau casino executive in a civil breach of contract lawsuit.
Obama planning campaign stop to Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) — President Barack Obama is planning a stop in Las Vegas during a campaign trip next week to the campaign battleground states of Nevada and Colorado. Obama campaign officials in Chicago say Obama will speak Wednesday at an event in Las Vegas. Details weren't immediately made public. The campaign says the president will then travel to Denver for a Thursday event.
Nevada Democrats top GOP in August registrations
CARSON CITY (AP) — Nevada Democrats increased a voter registration lead over Republicans in August. Figures released Tuesday by the secretary of state's office show Democrats registered 12,163 voters last month, compared with 5,042 voters who registered Republican.
