Alcohol believed to be factor in fatal accident
DAYTON — On Jan. 28 at 10:51 a.m., Nevada Highway Patrol was dispatched to a vehicle accident approximately seven miles east of Dayton. Pedestrian hit by school bus at Fourth St. and Arlington Ave.
At about 6:50 a.m. Monday, Reno police officers responded to the intersection of Fourth Street and Arlington Avenue on a report of a pedestrian versus school bus accident. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 27-year-old female Reno resident was walking westbound across Arlington Avenue when a school bus that had turned southbound onto Arlington from West Fourth Street struck her.

Driver hits pole after having a possible medical event
Reno police officers responded to assist Reno firefighters and medical personnel on scene at East Second Street and Sunshine Lane after a truck hit a light pole. The 69-year-old driver, a resident of Doyle, Calif., suffered a medical event and veered off the road, striking the pole.
