Bank robbery suspect arrested
On Wednesday at about 4:30 p.m. a white male suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 4045 S. Virginia St. in Reno. He approached a bank teller, announced that he was robbing the bank and demanded money. He also threatened to kill everyone and blow up the bank.

Human skull found in Palomino Valley
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a human skull discovered Saturday by a surveyor in the Perry Canyon area of Palomino Valley. Sheriff’s deputies confirmed the skull to be human on Sunday. At this time, there is no information on how long the skull had been there and/or the origin of the skull. SPARKS — A 13-year-old driver hit a 13-year-old pedestrian Halloween night at the intersection of Los Altos Parkway and Grandridge Drive. At 7:27 p.m., Sparks police responded to a call and discovered a 13-year-old female lying in the roadway with a serious head injury and lacerations on her head and back. Firefighters respond to structure fire
On Thursday at 7:10 p.m., Sparks Firefighters responded to a report of a possible structure fire on the 2600 block of Cygnet Circle. The first arriving fire unit found a single story residential duplex structure, with heavy smoke coming from the front door and heavy smoke and fire coming from a bedroom window of one of the units.

SUN VALLEY — On Wednesday at 3:08 p.m., Washoe County sheriff’s detectives arrested two men accused of killing a 57-year-old Sun Valley woman on Aug. 31. RENO — Juan Carlos “Charlie” Sanchez was arrested Wednesday at about 3 a.m. for the murder of 17-year-old Andrew Palmer on May 7 in the area of Carville Drive and Manhattan Street in Reno.
