The eWomenNetwork cash award of $6,000 will support Tru Vista’s Judges’ Scholarship fund.
“When parents are in the drug court program and recovering, their children are eligible for extracurricular activities for which they wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity,” said Elizabeth Donahoe, Tru Vista executive director. “We take care of family needs so they can re-establish their lives and reunite permanently with their kids.”
Kimberly Phipps-Nichol and Donna Holland, co-chairs of the eWomen Reno/Carson Tahoe Chapter foundation committee, led the selection process from a record number of nonprofit applicants for this year’s grant program. In addition to the cash donation, Donahoe received a scholarship to the eWomenNetwork International Conference and Business Expo in Dallas, where she attended a program specifically designed to help nonprofits succeed and connect.
“We are thrilled to give this grant to this remarkable organization,” said Kymberlee Simantel, eWomenNetwork Reno/Carson Tahoe Chapter executive managing director. “I want to thank our members and amazing team for their generous donations and support of this program.”
