WASHINGTON — A free workshop scheduled for 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Jan. 19 will work to unravel the mysteries of winning federal contracts. It’s not mysterious, but businesspeople need to know exactly what to do to reach the right person at the right time for an opportunity to capture that government contract.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to:

• Find the agencies that are looking for you.

• Find contracting officers in your targeted agencies.

• Prepare your capabilities statement.

• Use effective methods to stay in contact.

The workshop will be held at the Washoe County Government Center, Building C conference room, 1001 E. Ninth St. in Reno. The event is free. Register online at http://nsbdc.org/education-training/business-training-calendar or call 784-1717. For more information, contact Judith Hepburn with the Small Business Administration at 827-4923.
