INCLINE VILLAGE — Don’t miss your opportunity to work on the Tahoe Rim Trail this season. As the trail building season comes to a close, the Tahoe Rim Trail Association (TRTA) is seeking volunteers on two major projects: Rim to Reno and Daggett Summit. Workdays are held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. No trail building experience is necessary. Register online at www.tahoerimtrail.org.
The Rim To Reno Project End of Season workday is Oct. 20. Volunteers will enjoy free lunch from the TRTA. If you can’t make that, join the work crew any Thursday or Saturday before Oct. 20 at the Mt. Rose Summit Parking lot. Rim to Reno project volunteers will build new trail segments connecting existing trails in the vicinity of Mount Rose and creating a new system that includes loop trails along with the connector trail to Reno.
Daggett Summit Re-route celebrates the end of the season on Oct. 13. Lunch is provided. This is the fourth trail-building season of the multi-year Daggett Summit project, which will connect the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) with the Van Sickle State Park, re-route the TRT off of paved roads, and provide stunning views of Lake Tahoe. Join us every Tuesday or Saturday through Oct. 13 at the Kingsbury North Trailhead.
