RENO — The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a carjacking and sexual assault in the 3700 block of Wedekind Road at 8:50 a.m. Sunday.

The female victim told deputies that at 8:30 a.m. she was driving eastbound on Wedekind Road, between El Rancho Drive and Sullivan Lane when she was forced to stop by an oncoming vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by three men who were wearing dark clothing, along with ski masks and gloves. The woman said the men forced her out of her own vehicle at gunpoint and into their vehicle. Two of the suspects drove the victim’s vehicle a short distance to a dirt driveway of an unoccupied residence. The third suspect drove the suspect vehicle to the side of the residence where the sexual assault took place.

The suspect vehicle is described as a 1990s four-door sedan, dark green with tinted windows, grey cloth interior, stock rims and no license plates. A witness told investigators that two men who were on foot and dressed in dark clothing attempted to stop her as she drove by the same area at about 5 am.
