RENO — The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Division has released a composite sketch of a suspect in a sexual assault case that occurred at 1:40 pm on Feb. 16 at the Sun Valley Community Park.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s, last seen wearing a black “beanie” type cap, black “hoodie” type sweatshirt and blue jean pants.

At 2:11 p.m. on Feb. 16, a woman reported being sexually assaulted near a temporary restroom by a man she did not know as she walked through the park toward Sidehill Drive and the baseball field.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in this violent crime. Anyone who was in the area of the Sun Valley Community Park between the hours of 1:30 and 2 p.m. and might have seen the suspect or victim is encouraged to call the Detectives Division at 328-3320 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
