Rita McBride Schroeder, 50 years old, of Escondido, California, passed away on January 24, 2011. She is survived by her parents, Calvin Jay McBride and Reeta Rayola Carpenter McBride, her husband of 31 years, Scott F. Schroeder, four daughters, Nikki Schultz, Calee Schroeder, Kristina Schroeder and Brooke Schroeder, son-in-law Samuel Schultz and three granddaughters, Ainsley, Taylen and Ryah. Also surviving her are sisters Roxanne Milich, Trudi Milligan, Holly Smith, and brothers Brian McBride and Blair McBride.

A funeral service in her honor will be held Monday, January 31, 2011, 11:00 a.m., with a viewing at 9:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 2255 Felicita Road, Escondido, CA 92029.

Rita was a loving wife and mother, an inspirational teacher and friend. She shaped our community through countless hours of church service and teaching our children to love music and singing. She will be greatly missed…until we meet again. We love you, Mom.
