Hamp is a former U.S. Navy hospital corpsman and is a current member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Rotary International, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and the American Legion.

Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Harris received his medical doctorate from Wake Forest School of Medicine. Dr. Harris is affiliated with the Reno-based Western Surgical Group and is a member of the Washoe County Medical Society, American College of Surgeons, Society of Graduate Surgeons and the state of California and Nevada medical associations. He also has many years of experience as a Cancer Liaison to the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Harris has practiced general, trauma and oncologic surgery for 23 years.

Dr. Harris is a third generation surgeon (his grandfather, father and he all practiced in Sacramento, Calif.). He lives in Reno with his wife Dr. Karin Klove, a general surgeon. They have two sons at Galena High School. They are very active in the community supporting their sons in the Reno Youth Jazz Orchestra, Galena tennis team, Galena bands and sailing.

“We look forward to having Mr. Hamp and Dr. Harris bring their impressive expertise to our team and play key leadership roles in Renown’s integrated health network,” said David Veillette, vice president of specialty hospitals at Renown Health.
