A failure in an underground cable behind the Summit Christian Church caused a few blown fuses Friday morning in Spanish Springs, leaving more than 7,700 people without power.

According to NV Energy officials, the power was out in Spanish Springs and parts of Sun Valley between about 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Power has since been restored by switching users to another circuit, NV Energy spokesman Karl Walquist said.

Crews are currently working to repair the blown fuses and the underground cable.
