Police bust marijuana grow operation

RENO — Police busted a marijuana growing operation Tuesday, finding about 800 pounds of pot worth an estimated $2 million.

On Tuesday, detectives with the Northern Nevada Interdiction Task Force obtained a search warrant for 3715 Falcon Way after intercepting a suspicious parcel containing a large amount of U.S. currency and prescription pills. The search warrant was served with the assistance of detectives from the Street Enforcement Team and agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration. As a result, detectives and agents located inside an active indoor marijuana grow operation. The marijuana plants were located throughout the residence at different stages of growth.

Christian Lee Lindenberg, 37, and Michael V. Crook, 28, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sales and maintaining residence for unlawful sales of controlled substance.
