RENO — At about 6:50 a.m. Monday, Reno police officers responded to the intersection of Fourth Street and Arlington Avenue on a report of a pedestrian versus school bus accident. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 27-year-old female Reno resident was walking westbound across Arlington Avenue when a school bus that had turned southbound onto Arlington from West Fourth Street struck her.  The victim was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center where she is listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing at this time. Speed or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the accident. Traffic investigators are requesting that anyone who witnessed the accident to contact the Reno Police Department’s Traffic Division at 334-2141 or contact Secret Witness at 322-4900.
