Our loving father, Walter Neal Wilson, Jr. passed through this life to the next on Sunday, June 20, 2010 in his home from natural causes. Born July 28, 1930 in Washington D.C. he moved to the Sparks area in 1946.
He graduated from Sparks High School in 1949 and married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Lee "Dot" Inman on September 1, 1950. He and Dot were sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland LDS Temple April 1st, 1967. A member of the LDS Church he was always willing to be of service and in his earlier years served as Sunday School Superintendent and was always supportive of the Boy Scouting program. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Neal Wilson Sr. and Joyce Elizabeth Sandridge Crowe and his wife, Dot. He is survived by his children, Mollie Turner of Taylorsville, Utah, James K. Wilson of Reno, and Norma "Nan" Harnack of Sacramento, California, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of a funeral or memorial service, the family will be hosting a Life Celebration pot-luck barbecue open house at his home in Sparks on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. We hope you will join us then.
