Man shot in arm outside of Sparks residence

SPARKS -- A man was shot Wednesday morning at about 12:30 a.m. in the 10 block E. O Street in Sparks by a man in the back of small four-door vehicle.

The Sparks Police Department reported to the shooting call and learned that there were two male residents, of an undisclosed residence on E. O Street, standing on the sidewalk in front of their house. A suspicious vehicle was driving very slowly past the the residence and a Hispanic male sitting in the back asked if they had a problem.

The male residents said that this was their house and asked what they were doing, at which point the Hispanic male pointed a semi-automatic handgun out of the window, fired three to four rounds and striking one of the residents in the arm before driving away.

There were no other persons shot during the incident. REMSA transported the victim to a local hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening wound to the arm.

Sparks Police have detailed the following descriptions:

Car: White small four door sedan with a spoiler and tinted windows.

Driver: Black male adult

Front passenger: Female

Right rear passenger: Hispanic male adult wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt (shooter).
