Man hurt in crash on SR 207

RENO — At 9:14 p.m. Thursday, Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to an injury crash on State Route 207 about three miles west of Foothill Road.

The investigation found that a white Jeep Wrangler driven by Vargas Mejia, 61, of Incline, was traveling east on SR 207 when it drifted off the roadway striking a boulder and overturning. Mejia was airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. There was a male passenger that was ground transported to the Carson Valley Medical Center for precautionary measures.

Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor to the accident.
