SPARKS — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred Friday evening.

Jaime Herrera, 32, a resident of Sparks, was arrested Saturday and charged with battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm. The arrest came after police investigated a fight that took place at about 8:40 p.m. Friday at 1400 E. Fourth St., #7, in Reno. In the incident, a man was stabbed in the rear of the neck during a fight, causing partial paralysis in his left arm.

Police have no further details on this incident, other than the two men knew each other and the stabbing occurred during a fight.
