RENO — A motorcycle rider is in critical condition after a crash Wednesday.

At about 7:45 p.m., there was a single motorcycle accident in the southbound lanes of North Virginia Street near Moraine Way. There might have been an additional motorcyclist who witnessed the accident. That motorcycle was a red Harley-style chopper possibly with flames on the gas tank. The rider appeared to be a white male wearing black clothing. The motorcyclist stopped at the scene and left northbound on North Virginia Street.

The rider who went down is in critical condition and is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Reno Police Department Traffic Unit at 334-2141 or 657-4759.
