Get a massage to help widower, baby

SPARKS ­— Friends of Karli Johnson, who died during the birth of her son, Bodie, who was born two months premature Dec. 17 in Reno, will hold a fundraiser for her family Feb. 25.

Karli’s husband Will is now a struggling single father. Mizu Shin Tao/The Institute of Oriental Therapeutic Science is sponsoring an event to help Will Johnson with financial obligations.

The “Community Massage Day” will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A donation of $20 or more is being asked of participants. All proceeds will go to the Johnson Memorial Fund.

The institute will offer full-body massages, back massages, foot massages, hand massages and other services.
