•In Minden, the Raiders and Tigers concluded their postponed series, but the outcome wasn’t what the visitors hoped for after a long trip.

The game ended after five innings thanks to the 10-run mercy rule as Douglas secured a 14-4 victory.

Reed enjoyed a 1-0 lead after a half inning, but it was all downhill for the Blue and Gold after that. The Tigers scored three runs in the bottom half of the first to take the lead for good.

Douglas added five runs in the second, pushing the gap to 8-1. The hosts also enjoyed leads of 10-2 and 12-4 before pushing across the game-ending runs in the bottom of the fifth frame.

Ryan Butler was a bright spot for the Raiders, going 2-for-3 at the plate.

Reed is back in action today at home against Bishop Manogue. First pitch is scheduled for 3:45 p.m.
