RENO — Cabela’s continues its fall hunting and outdoor season events with a focus on big game during Cabela’s Big Game Classic on Saturday and Sunday. The series of free seminars and demonstrations will emphasize elk calling, choosing proper ammunition loads, scope and rangefinder selection, backcountry bow hunting tactics, sporting dog training tips for hunters, as well as other topics.

In addition to free seminars and kids’ activities, there will be Cabela’s pro-staff and manufacturer’s representatives in the store to answer questions, provide insight into their products and offer tips on various hunting products. A Dutch oven cooking demonstration will take place on Saturday and participation by conservation partners will be ongoing throughout the weekend.

The first 100 customers on Saturday will receive a free, exclusive Big Game Classic T-shirt (must be at least 18 years old with one per household allowed).

Conservation partners displaying exhibits outside include the National Rife Association and Friends of the NRA, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

For more information, visit www.cabelas.com/reno or call 829-4100. Cabela’s is located at 8650 Boomtown Road in Verdi, just off Interstate 80 Exit 4 (Boomtown Exit).
