Businesses cited for alcohol sales violations

The latest Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Enforcing the Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program event was conducted on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Two teams checked numerous businesses for license issues, alcohol awareness training cards and work permits and checked the patrons for underage drinkers possessing false identification cards.

Businesses cited were:

Lemmon Lounge – 9105 Lemmon Drive, Reno. Received: one civil infraction for not having an alcohol awareness training card.

The Wayside – 9015 Lemmon Drive, Reno. Received: one civil infraction for not having her alcohol awareness training card.

The Black Tangerine – 9825 S. Virginia St., Reno. Received: three civil infractions for not having their alcohol awareness training cards.

Rookies – 930 Tahoe Blvd., Incline Village. Received: three civil infractions for not having their alcohol awareness training cards.

Village Pub – 848 Tanager, Incline Village.Received: one civil infraction for not having her alcohol awareness training card

No underage patrons were identified at all any of the businesses checked.

The sheriff’s office encourages the public to report any type of underage drinking activities by calling 832-WCSO (9276) or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
