RENO — Reno resident Justin Fisher, 30, has been arrested for the murder of a man Wednesday in Cold Springs. Detectives with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office are still investigating this homicide. The name of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of his family.

At 2:49 a.m. Wednesday, Washoe County dispatch received 911 call about suspicious circumstances from a person in the 17600 block of East Aspen Circle. Sheriff’s deputies were immediately dispatched to the home.

Upon arrival, deputies were unable to contact anyone at the residence but movement was heard inside. After a few minutes, deputies gained access into the house and found a white male adult lying on the floor unresponsive with apparent life-threatening injuries. Paramedics arrived and tried to treat the man but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Fisher was located inside the residence. Detectives were notified and arrived shortly after to continue investigating.

Detectives interviewed Fisher and subsequently placed him under arrest for open murder. Fisher was transported and booked into the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility, where he is being held without bail.
