Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada, Inc. Child Care Development Fund can pay up to 95% of your child care costs.




To be eligible...



Child must be:

* 13 years of age or younger

* Have proof of Native American descendency



Parent/Guardian must be:

* Working and/or enrolled in a technical.higher education or trade school.





RENO/SPARKS AND CARSON CITY URBAN AREA

ITCN CCDF program services the Reno/Sparks Carson City urban area. Eligible parents will be participating in the certificate program, allowing them to choose the type of provider that is best for their child. This includes all Native and Alaskan Native American families who can show descendency.





CCDF TRIBAL COMMUNITES

There are cuurently 15 tribal communities participating in the CCDF program, they are: Battle Mountain, Carson City, Dresslerville, Duckwater, Elko, Ft. McDermitt, Goshute, Lovelock, Moapa, Stewart, South Fork, Summit Lake, Wells, Yerington, and Yomba.



Each tribe operates a different type of child care program; a Tribal Child Care Center and an After School program. The certificate program allows the parent(s) to choose the type of provider. A Tribal Child Care Center is operated by a local tribe. The After School program is esigned to help with after school care and provide children with assistance with tutoring, homework, and reading requirements.



SLIDING FEE SCALE

The sliding fee scale is based on your family size and average net income and/or other factors. A percentage of your child care will be paid by the CCDF program up to 95%.



REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

* Parent/Guardian identification (License, ID card, and Social Security card)

* Parent/Guardian’s income, which will determine eligibility (paycheck stub or letter from employer)

* Other qualifications: an official class schedule or official letter of enrollment is needed if attending a technical/higher education or trade school.
