Alphabet soup of scandals

Despite the President’s protests, that the scandals engulfing Washington are “phony,” his popularity has hit a new low of 42 percent approval.

As to the word “phony,” I would refer you to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary which has the following definition: “intended to deceive or mislead; having no basis in fact.” Based on this, it would appear that the only phony statements are those coming from the current occupant of the Oval Office.

Certainly the most egregious phony story was the one cooked up after the Benghazi holocaust. From the top down, administration officials, particularly U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, were all wedded to the tale the whole incident was the result of an anti-Muslim video. Both the President and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stuck to this narrative from the day after the incident occurred. When the bodies of the four slain Americans were returned to this country, the same duo was quick to assure surviving family members that they would do everything possible to punish the producer of the horrible video.

Even two weeks after the event, Barack Obama used the international stage of the United Nations to continue to blame the video.

Actually, there was nothing phony about the bodies in the four caskets that were flown back to America.

The latest acronym to join the alphabet soup bowl in D.C. was the DEA, which apparently has some affiliation with the FEC. These two entities join the NSA, the IRS, the CIA, the FBI, the DOJ, the State Department and the Press Secretary.

All of the foregoing have the similar problem of telling the truth whether under oath or not.

The President has often touted the fact there has been no terrorist attack on U.S. soil under his watch. Apparently the Fort Hood shooting and the Boston Marathon bombing occurred somewhere else than the U.S.

When it comes to the Fort Hood matter, it is interesting that the administration chose to call it workplace violence rather than the savage terrorist attack it really was. The victims of that attack have suffered the double indignity of not having been “wounded in action” thus preventing their receiving compensation for their injuries. On the other hand, it was interesting to note that during the four years it has taken to bring this matter to trial, the perpetrator has been receiving his monthly government pay and benefits. Thus far, the shooter’s court martial has been a travesty with him representing himself and his court appointed lawyer assistants asking to be excused from the deliberations.

As to the Boston Marathon surviving suspect, it was strange that his FBI interrogation was cut short by the Department of Justice.

Now that sealed criminal charges have been proffered against the so-called perpetrators of the Benghazi attack, it will be interesting to see whether they have been charged as war criminals, terrorists or simply average criminals.

Where is Joe Biden and what did Obama and Hillary have for lunch?

Benghazi.... holocaust? Did I read that correctly - holocaust? If ever a sign were present that the Obama deranged are truly from another planet, the use of the word "holocaust" for four deaths would be such a sign.
