Nevada art collector speaks at Comstock History Center

VIRGINIA CITY — The Comstock History Center welcomes renowned Nevada art collector Wally Cuchine to speak during a two-hour presentation on from noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 3. Cuchine will be discussing his love and talent for collecting Nevada art as well as each of the 35 pieces in “Wally’s World: The Loneliest Art Collection in Nevada,” an exhibit currently featured at the History Center.

The event is free of charge and participants are encouraged to bring along a brown bag lunch to enjoy during his presentation. The Comstock History Center is located at 20 N. E St. in Virginia City. The exhibit is on display at the Comstock History Center until Aug. 18.

The exhibit is curated by Jim McCormick and is organized by the Nevada Arts Council. It is part of the Nevada Arts Council’s Nevada Touring Initiative – Traveling Exhibition Program, and is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Nevada State Legislature.
