Summer food service program offers food free to local children

RENO — The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is a sponsor of the Nevada Department of Education Summer Food Service Program. The club will serve meals and snacks to all children free of charge from June 10 through Aug. 9. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, gender or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Below please find the site names, addresses, telephone numbers, whom to contact for additional information, which meals will be served, and the times the meals will be served throughout the summer program:

Donald W. Reynolds Youth Site, located at 2680 E. Ninth St. in Reno. Site Coordinator is Amanda Stockton, and for more information call 331-3605 or email astockton@bgctm.org. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.; lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

Fernley Intermediate School, located at 320 US Highway 95A in South Fernley. Site Coordinator is Robin Gane, and for more information call 303-5901 or email rgane@bgctm.org. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.; lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

Project Solution, located at 1090 Bresson Ave. in Reno. Site Coordinator is Rick Stevens, and for more information call 331-5437 or email rstevens@bgctm.org. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.; lunch from noon to 1 p.m.
